Maine gets defensive on the recruiting trail
- Updated: November 24, 2014
Since the last Maine recruiting update, the Black Bears have added two defensive recruits. The first one was Robert Michel out of the Ottawa Jr. Senators program of the Central Canadian Hockey League. You can read more on him here.
On Thursday, the team received a commitment from Keith Muehlbauer out of the Eastview High School program in Minnesota. The 6-foo-1 197 pound senior had 11 goals and 18 assists last season in 25 games.
Patrick Holway, a defenseman of the Boston Advantage 18U team had three points over the weekend to increase his point total to 13 in the Tier I Elite League play. He’s schedule to come in for the 2016-17 season.
Lucas Michaud was once again named to the NHL Central Scouting List for the upcoming draft. He was one of three players in the USPHL to be named to the list. Michaud was given a C rating which indicates a player that’s potentially drafted in rounds 4-6. He continues his offensive tear with four assists on Sunday against the Middlesex Islanders in the 8-5 victory for the Portland Jr. Pirates. He is now tied for the team in scoring with nine goals and 19 assists.
Here’s the updated statistics for the rest of the recruits.
