Quinn named semifinalist for Concannon Award

Bowdoin senior Connor Quinn has been named one of 18 semifinalists for the Joe Concannon College Hockey Award.

Presented annually by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston, the Concannon Award is given to the best American-born college hockey player in New England Division II/III.

Quinn currently leads the Polar Bears in scoring, totaling 10 goals 11 assists this season. He has been outstanding on Bowdoin’s special teams units, racking up three power play goals and two shorthanded tallies this year. In 95 career games, the speedy forward has accumulated 33 goals and 34 assists.

Bowdoin boasts two previous winners of the award: Michael Carosi ’02 in 2002 and Adam Dann ’06 in 2006.

The Gridiron Club plans to announce the finalists and winner of the 15th Joe Concannon Award in March, prior to the start of NCAA Frozen Four Tournament play and present the award during the New England Hockey Writers dinner in April.
