Chris Roy – Founder & Beat Writer
Chris is entering his 10th year in sports journalism. Prior to that, he spent his days as a collection agent, both in the field and behind a desk, but he decided it was time to find a new and exciting challenge. Chris began writing for MVN, an online magazine, covering sports from a fan perspective. After building the respect of his peers, he began covering the Portland Pirates, Portland Sea Dogs, auto racing and high school sports for several news organizations including Biddeford’s Journal Tribune and York County Coast Star. Believing that hockey was not getting enough coverage by local media he ventured out on his own with the formation of Maine Hockey Journal with Nathan Fournier. Chris continues to run the day-to-day operations as well provide content on a daily basis.

Chris attended Southern Maine Community College and the University of Southern Maine earning his degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Health Sciences.
